Wonderful Wichita Classic Single Shot Silhouette Pistol in .223 Remington. A rare and collectible Wichita bolt action pistol featuring an elegantly hand engraved receiver, barrel, trigger guard and scope rings. Gold wire inlays decorate the receiver front, the engraved bolt shroud and the engraved barrel muzzle. The left handed action sports a checkered bolt handle and three lug lock up bolt face. The trigger is grooved and the bolt is jeweled. Classy! An engraved escutcheon is set into the left side of the forearm. The high-art engraving is attributed to Master Engraver Ray Viramontez, an accomplished  American engraver who trained in Europe under Werner Schuck and who has more than 50 years experience in creating museum quality works of steel and gold art. The tapered barrel is fully octagonal at 11 ¾ inches long and is an extension of the receiver, both of which were fashioned as a single piece of steel. This masterpiece is embellished with a right handed extra fancy walnut stock, hand fashioned with thumb rest, Schnabel foreend and fine line hand checkering. Three sling studs are mounted to the stock, one under the forearm, one at the base of the pistol grip and one at the rear of the stock. OAL: 18 inches from muzzle to butt end of stock or 18.25 inches from muzzle to end of sling stud at butt end of stock. Weight: 4 pounds 5 ounces with bases and rings installed. The condition is excellent with minor handling marks. This collector’s Wichita Classic pistol is new.
