Serial Number:

Gorgeous Kimber of Oregon M89 Super Grade Big Game Rifle in .375 H & H magnum caliber. Probably built in 1989, based on the UPS label on the exterior shipping box. Kimber used the term “Super Grade” for their top-of-the-line rifles rather than “Super America” for about one year before going bankrupt in 1991. Features a 24 inch round barrel in magnum profile and a desirable quarter rib sight package with the “duck bill” tip on the rib (rather than the sharp edged scalloped tip sometimes found on Model 84 and Model 89 quarter ribs). The sight package consists of a hooded, ramped, bead-on-blade front sight and a fixed two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear express style notch sight on the “duck bill” style quarter rib. The receiver incorporates the integral square bridge mounts for scope bases. The bolt incorporates Mauser style extraction and Winchester Model 70 style of 3 position, swing safety. Includes a Swarovski Habicht 4x32A scope with full duplex reticle and Kimber rings. The stock is quarter sawn English walnut with strong contrasting grain coloring and figure. Beautiful‼ The walnut stock features: an ebony forend tip; blue steel grip cap; inletted, two screw sling swivel studs with sling swivels; a hand formed beaded cheekpiece; and a solid red Kimber rubber recoil pad. The original rifle box is a cardboard sleeve printed with the Kimber name and a white styrofoam insert with cut outs for the rifle and for the bolt. The original factory box label, factory printed with rifle designation and serial number is present but is loose from the styrofoam insert, a common occurrence with the Kimber boxes that use the styrofoam. Both the sleeve and the insert appear new with minor storage and handling wear. The insert is exceptional in that it remains white and intact without the usual oil, dirt, cracks, missing pieces and other signs of its 33 year age. Includes the original, factory, cardboard shipping sleeve with Kimber printing and shipping label. Complete with Kimber of Oregon Model 89 BGR owner’s manual and papers in a grey plastic Kimber storage sleeve. New in box with minimal light handling marks. The scope appears new and the optics are very clear as you would expect on from a high-end German rifle scope. The scope rings are original Kimber of Oregon vertically split rings using two screws for closure. The shipping box is in excellent condition with minor corner and edge wear.  ADDITIONAL DETAILS:  OAL = 44 1/2 inches; LOP = 13 5/8 inches; Barrel Length = 24 inches; Weight = 8 pounds 13 ounces with scope and rings mounted to rifle; Magazine Capacity = 3 rounds.   SN SG4379
